On Friday, Vice President Leni Robredo slammed the family of the late former president Ferdinand Marcos over his surprise burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Robredo strongly stressed that Marcos is not a hero.
"Ferdinand Marcos was a thief, a murderer, and a dictator. "He is no hero. If he were, obviously his family would not have to hide his burial like a shameful criminal deed," she - said.
The burial, which was held on Friday, was approved by President Rodrigo Duterte himself.
Robredo said the Marcos family obviously wen around the law, branding the family as if they were thieves for not disclosing the event.
"Like a thief in the night, the Marcos family deliberately hid the information of burying former President Marcos today from the Filipino people," she said.
"This is nothing new to the Marcoses they who had hidden wealth, hidden human rights abuses, and now, a hidden burial with complete disrespect for the rule of law," she added.
The vice president also said she was bothered by how the Marcos family coordinated with the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police to carry out the burial.
