Australian businessman praises Duterte: "This is a man who genuinely cares for this country and genuinely cares for its people"
Australian businessman and business development advocate Peter Wallace praised President Rodrigo Duterte for his leadership in the Philippines.
Wallace expressed his admiration for the president during a press briefing at the Malacañang, noting that Duterte is the only president that implemented the freedom of information.
According to the businessman, the Filipinos voted for Duterte because they want change to happen in the Philippines.
"This is a man who genuinely cares for this country and genuinely cares for its people," he said.
He also said that he does not mind Duterte's tirades against the United States because it just shows Duterte wants the Philippines to be independent.
"He is just trying to establish an equal partnership, that's a different thing," he added.
