De Lima on Senate probe: "As a woman, it breaks my heart."
Senator Leila De Lima expressed her disappointment after former driver-love Ronnie Dayan disclosed information about her private life.
During the Senate probe, Dayan revealed many information about De Lima, which are deemed vital by the lawmakers.
One of which was how De Lima used him as her bagman to collect drug money from Kerwin Espinosa to and fro the Bilibid prison.
Dayan also disclosed some events during their 7-year relationship. He said that De Lima slapped him for supporting then presidential candidate President Rodrigo Duterte.
He also narrated how their relationship went off and how De Lima got a boyfriend shortly after their breakup.
De Lima stated her thoughts regarding the disclosure of her private life publicly.
"No woman, whoever or whatever she may be, whether a sitting senator or a humble secretary, deserves to be betrayed, to be treated with so much disrespect and without dignity, before the public eye, by any man she is with or had a relationship with," she said.
"The glaring inconsistencies of statements from all "witnesses" in the House inquiry to this Bilibid Prison drug trade conspiracy speak for itself," De Lima added.
