Drug lord Colangco, other high-profile inmates to testify against De Lima in House Bilibid probe

Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II on Friday said the convicted and drug lord Herbert �Ampang� Colangco will testify against Senator Leila de Lima next week in the Congressional inquiry.

Colangco is high-profile inmate and tagged by President Duterte  as one of the drug lords in the country.

He will testify including other high-profile inmates on the proliferation of illegal drugs in the New Bilibid Prison.

�There are 10 to 12 high profile inmates that will testify kasama si Colangco dun,� Aguirre said.

�They have agreed to testify,� he said but pointed out that there is no concessions or agreement in exchange for their testimony.

Meanwhile, in Duterte's drug matrix it included De Lima, her former driver Ronnie Dayan and drug convict Peter Co.

Colangco along with 18 other high profile inmates was moved to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in late 2014 after authorities discovered that they were living a posh lifestyle inside Bilibid. From NBI, they were moved to Bilibid�s Building 14, a highly secured facility separate from the Maximum Security Compound.

Aguirre said a former NBI director and NBI agents will also testify against De Lima.
