A role model couple! Melissa and Charles are prioritizing the baby's birth instead of their wedding.

The couple are putting off their big wedding plans to prioritize the preparations for the birth of their first child.

On an interview with ABS-CBN's Gretchen Fullido, Ricks says:

"Napag-usapan na namin, pero there's no rush to get married,"  

"Priority ang baby, whatever's good for the baby. Siguro priority muna [ang baby], kasi ang wedding is a lot of money also, 'di ba?"

"Ngayon, nothing's a rush. One thing at a time... We talked about it (wedding plans) na. At saka dapat may proposal, 'di ba? Basta masaya ako, that's what matters,"

The 24 year old actress is on her 5 months into pregnancy at the moment.

Last July 30, Ricks confirmed her pregnancy for the first time. And the actress decided to keep her relationship with Togesaki private. Charles sat down with Melissa rick on an interview but they decided to not show his face on any cameras.

The Couple on the Red Carpet

For the first time, Ricks and Togesaki attended a celebrity event as a couple just recently during the 8th Star Magic Ball. They walked the red carpet at the Shanri-La Hotel at Makati and proudly poses for photos.

"I'm very happy na (a designer) Michael Leyva talaga made something special for me," Ricks said of the dress she wore to the ball. "Ayoko itago, I'm very proud na I'm pregnant. During the ball, we had so much fun."

"Masaya ako ngayon, eh. Sobrang saya ko with everything that's happening. Iba talaga 'yung feeling na pregnant ka and that a blessing is coming. Everything is working out really well," Ricks said

The actress noted that the baby will be the first grandchild of both sides of the family. 

Talking about her relationship with Togesaki, Ricks said 

"It's a whole, different new world na pinasok ko. Kasi sanay ako, puro showbiz friends ko. Ngayon, I have whole new group of friends that don't involve showbiz. Sobrang natutuwa ako."

Ricks has only 4 months left for her pregnancy and is expected to have her first child on February. We only expect a lovely baby, delivered during the month of love by a lovely couple.
